You want to get the new phone. But you do not want to go overboard. So what do you do? You buy the new Smartphone, but you compromise on memory. You buy the one with only 16Giga. Smart move for your Smartphone purchase? Who am I to judge? Not because I try not to judge (I am already too busy judging me), but because I have same the same “Smart” decision in the past. And there comes a time that now after the zillion selfies taken while eating, drinking, sleeping (yep that too), feeling fabulous, gloomy or just following Kim’s steps, plus another 10 songs, there comes a time that your phone is full. As full as you get at an all-you-can-eat brunch. It is right at that time, that you have to do some clean up. After deleting 11 of 32 versions of the same selfie, where only the sun is somewhat different behind you, after removing the song that you were listening on repeat for 48 hours last week, there comes the turn of the Apps. Which Apps to eliminate to free up some memory for the next 32 versions of the same selfie?
EXTREMELY tough choice. This is when you have to be brave. And realistic. How often do you use some of these Apps? To cut the long story short, I get to do this exercise a couple of times per month. By now I know which are the sacred Apps that I would never touch. On top of my list is EVENTFUL. The App and respective website that gives everything that is happening in your city wherever you are. The list is long: Concerts, Conferences, Comedy, Education, Family, Festivals, Film, Food, Fundraisers, Galleries, Health, Holiday, Literary, Museums, Neighborhood, Networking, Nightlife, On Campus, Organizations, Outdoors, Performing Arts, Pets, Politics, Sales, Science, Spirituality, Sports, Technology… At your home city or when you travel. For any date you need. I use it almost daily to check what is going on. There is something for everybody. Apparently for over 20 million consumers around the globe.
I will not say more, because just visiting their site or playing with the App will convince you that you do not need anybody else to inform you where to go tonight, what things to do in Geneva or anywhere else in the world. Did I mention that you can subscribe to get all this in your email at a frequency you decide?
